Chris Tompkins is an LGBTQ-affirming therapist based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in gay men’s identity and religious trauma. He taught social-emotional learning (SEL) for six years throughout Southern California, including at high schools, after-school programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Penny Lane Centers, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and Los Angeles Central Juvenile Hall. Chris is the author of the award-winning book Raising LGBTQ Allies: A Parent’s Guide to Changing the Messages from the Playground. His work has been featured on TEDx, NBC, HuffPost, Psychology Today, The Advocate, and more.
